Extra Voice Sets for Download by MaVe

Hi,

is there actually a way to tie certain voices to a definite set of regions to not hear them everywhere around the globe? I find the Middle Eastern / Spanish voice strange when flying in Australia, for example.

it would require a few tweaks by mourard (patc) but hopefully sooner rather ..... the beta team i believe support the idea as do many.

it will however need some more voices from marcel's lab to make it more than a  great idea. marcel's ambitions have always been to have voices matching airlines as well as atc.

I believe this forum tried to let Marcel know how much we appreciated his work on the voice sets.
Unfortunately, it may not have been enough for him to continue the work because of "political" reasons.
(I think you know what I mean if you've checked his posts.).

He just may be too busy. This forum isn't the highest priority versus job, family or education responsibilities.

As we get older we have more responsibilities and very busy with commitments.
At least to a certain age, then things really start slowing down.

I am truly hoping nothing dramatic is going on in his personal life and we may "hear" from him with new voice sets.

Just an update to my previous, I received a confirmation email that MaVe had downloaded my voiceset from the transfer host, could be something positive.

I just finished recording a voice set (German speaker). However, audio quality isn't very good.
No idea why, usually the mic on my MS Surface Pro is fine.

However, I'd like to test my own voice set before releasing it but it seems that the format of what I've recorded looks different than what can be downloaded/installed as voice pack. So I assume you do some post processing first? If so, does it include normalizing the files? My records are "bumpy" in volume and I don't think it will sound good that way.

Certainly not my intention to be the know-it-all here, but why isn't this thread closed or marked somehow?

Real shame that no new voice sets can be added, they really enhance immersion....

        My explanation is that no direct response has been received from Marcel who is the fellow that does this work. 
These voice-sets are his addition to ProAtc/X and not an official ProAtc/X work. 

It is hoped (by a lot of us I think) that his work will continue or be picked up by someone else in this forum. 

Maybe ProAtc/X will even add back their voice-set making utility in some future release.
