It makes me crazy to run the makerwys.exe every time when an airport addon is installed/uninstalled or a new AIRAC data is released. It takes at least two hours to finish. Do I really have to do this step?

Although makerwys does take ages to run, as I understand it from the messages displayed, it is not required to run makerwys when airac is updated, only when adding/removing scenery - at least that's what I did when airac updated.
