Yeah I was only talking about the callsign bit.
For AI aircraft the callsign is picked out of aircraft.cfg, "atc_airline=" setting.
For own aircraft, as far as I know, the callsign is picked out of the al.txt file.

As for the airline being in the PATC database, I think the developers only can do that.

Marcel--I'm another poor sap that spent a whole bunch of time recording a voice set using the Pro-ATC/X tool, only to be told afterwards that it was not being used any more.

So...before I go to the trouble again, if I record a set using your tool and send it to you, will you put it to use?  I'm a retired real-world global airlift pilot, and also a spanish speaker.  I'd be happy to do the work, but not if it's going to end up in the dead letter bin again.

Hey Bob,

Of coarse I will put it to use! Spanish speaker, nice!
Sorry to hear you spoke-in a set with the original program. I also did that and never heard anything again. After that I decided to start my own project. Not very nice to treat your customers that way  :(
Also check-out my website to see what the plan is.

For the people who sent in a set that's not published yet, don't worry, it will be done, need to recharge my battery  :P

Yeah, thanks, Marcel. I hope we can get more voices to enhance PROATCX.

By the way, i don't speak like that at all, I just exagerated the accent to make it recognizable as a middle eastern one.

Hi Naif,

Flew a Emirates Airline Flight into Newark Liberty with your excellent accent as my pilots voice.  Great work! Thanks.

Thank you, I am glad. I was afraid it would have been too much.

I was thinking of sending Marcel an Indian accent set but I was afraid it would be obvious it was made with the same voice.

Wow Naif, you must be a glutton for punishment.  That's a lot of time on recordings. It must have taken me a good 5 hours or more with listening, recording and checking.

It was like a punishment, especially, the airlines names it felt it took forever, but it is worth it. PATCX lackded voice variations. Besides, you can always do them in multiple sittings.

I would, If I could perfect them. The Indian on the other hand is the easiest of them all.

Hi,

I am heavily using the Aerosoft Airbus and allways its checklist. But my problem is that the ProATC X - PNF voice (who contacts the controllers, confirms instructions and serves the COM / NAV radio) is different from the PNF Aerosoft Airbus checklist voice. This is annoying.

If one of your "pilots" would also be willing  just to record those PNF "commands" in just one wav-file then I would prepare the respective various wav-files, test and upload those. According to my experience this recording just takes 1/2 hour. Please find the list of PNF-calls used in the Aerosoft Airbus attached.

By the way I am one of the guys who created the Aerosoft Airbus Checklist function and also the current availbale voice sets .........

Rolf Fritze
